Bacon & Bold launches the ÖEHV’s new website and Game Center

Subheading: Delivered in 58 days and attracting 700,000 pageviews in its first months, Bacon & Bold and Codivities have created a new hub for Austrian ice hockey fans.
Eishockey.at is more than just the Austrian Ice Hockey Federation’s website: it is a destination for hundreds of thousands of ice hockey fans, who find all the results and statistics in its Game Center. This made the challenge all the greater: completing a full website relaunch within a single summer, ready for the new season, including a new design, all data integrations and a Shopify online shop for merchandise.

The team behind Bacon & Bold, which was responsible for implementation together with Codivities, develops not only websites but also AI agents such as the recruiting software Socialhiro. In doing so, they developed their own infrastructure to deliver web projects faster and to a higher standard.

The Game Center was built from scratch using several external data sources, the editorial management system was built around the organisation’s individual needs using the APIs of the headless CMS Payload, and the Shopify shop’s frontend was also custom-coded to enable native integration across every area of the website.”

- 63,960 Google clicks in the first 28 days
- 14 active competitions + 3 youth archives in the Game Center
- Over 82,000 URLs across the entire platform, including news, shop and federation pages
- 1,980 migrated blog articles
